Herrett Center for Arts and Science

The Herrett Center for Arts and Science at the College of Southern Idaho combines free museum galleries with astronomy, natural history, anthropology, art, and hands-on learning. Families can explore the galleries at no charge, attend a ticketed show in the Faulkner Planetarium, or visit the Centennial Observatory during a scheduled public program.

💡 Good to Know

Museum hours are Tuesday from 9:30 a.m.–9 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Friday from 9:30 a.m.–9 p.m.; and Saturday from 1–9 p.m. The center is closed Sundays, Mondays, and federal holidays.

Admission to the museum galleries and art exhibits is free. Planetarium tickets currently range from $5.50–$7.50 per seat, with children under age two admitted free. Show schedules rotate regularly, and late seating is not permitted. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the planetarium. Dark conditions and audiovisual effects may be intense for some younger children.

Observatory programs follow separate schedules, may be weather-dependent, and can be free or ticketed. Check the Herrett Center website before visiting for current shows, programs, and observatory conditions.
