Lava Flow Campground at Craters of the Moon gives families the unusual experience of camping directly beside Idaho’s volcanic landscape. The campground is close to the visitor center, Loop Road, short trails, lava formations, and seasonal ranger programs.

Good to Know

Sites are first-come, first-served and the campground is generally accessible by vehicle from about May through November depending on snow. There are no hookups.
