Stampede Park at 1220 11th Avenue North Extension in Nampa combines a playground, baseball facilities, and a concrete skate park. The nearly 11-acre site occupies the former Snake River Stampede rodeo grounds.
Play, skate, or watch a game
The city lists four baseball fields, playground equipment, open active areas, public restrooms, and a drinking fountain. It is home to the Nampa Babe Ruth Baseball Organization and to Nampa’s first skate park.
For families with different interests, the playground and skating facilities provide separate activities at the same destination. Keep younger children out of active skating lines, and bring suitable protective equipment if skating is part of your visit.
Planning around organized sports
Check game and field schedules if a particular playing area matters to your outing. A public park listing does not guarantee that athletic fields are available for drop-in play during practices or games. For a casual visit, plan around the playground and open areas and leave room to adjust when teams are using the fields.
