Good to Know
The site is open year-round and there is no day-use fee, but river permits are required for private floatboats and powerboats in regulated sections of Hells Canyon. The final 17.5 miles on Deer Creek Road / Forest Road 493 are steep, narrow, winding, and gravel; large RVs and trailers require extreme caution.
