Big Jacks Creek Wild and Scenic River protects a remote canyon landscape in southwestern Idaho where sheer and terraced walls rise above a narrow riparian corridor. Redband trout live in the creek, bighorn sheep inhabit the canyon, and a small number of trails provide access into this exceptionally quiet desert wilderness.

Good to Know
BLM specifically notes that this is not a boatable river section. Access is remote and undeveloped, with limited trails and virtually no visitor services. Carry water, navigation tools, food, fuel, and emergency supplies, and check road and fire conditions before traveling into the Owyhee backcountry.
