Good to Know
The lava is extremely sharp and broken, with open cracks and uneven footing. The trail system is non-motorized. Summer conditions can be very hot with almost no shade, so bring substantial water, sun protection, and sturdy closed-toe footwear. Rattlesnakes may be present.
