Twin Falls Park

Twin Falls Park is a scenic 10-acre day-use park along the Snake River near the Twin Falls Hydroelectric Plant. Operated by Idaho Power, the park offers fishing and boating access, picnic areas, a reservable shelter, restrooms, and a scenic viewpoint overlooking the river and canyon. With open lawn, shoreline access, and places to picnic, it makes a good family stop for enjoying the Snake River away from the busier nearby attractions.

💡 Good to Know

• 🕗 The park is open daily from 8:00 a.m. until dark.
• 🆓 Day use is free.
• 🏕️ Twin Falls Park is day-use only; overnight camping is not permitted.
• 💧 There is no public drinking water, according to the posted park rules in your photo, so families should bring their own.
• 🐕 Pets are allowed but must be restrained or kept on a 6-foot leash, and owners must clean up after them. Idaho Power’s current recreation policy confirms the six-foot-leash requirement.
• 🏠 The picnic shelter can be reserved. Idaho Power currently lists the shelter at $75 per day plus applicable tax, including the reservation fee.
• 🚤 The lower park and boat-launch area were upgraded recently with additional parking, two accessible parking spaces, a vault toilet, improved shoreline stabilization, and improved pedestrian access.
• 🌊 The park is also the take-out point for the Murtaugh Reach, a Class IV whitewater section of the Snake River. Families should not interpret that as beginner paddling water.
• 🏊 Idaho Power does not list a designated swimming area here, so I would not mark Swimming as an amenity.
