Pick the right kind of river stop

Falls Park, at 305 W. 4th Avenue, suits families who want accessible paved paths, a playground and views of the gorge and dam. The fishing pond has a bridge and viewing platforms. This is a different experience from spending the day at a swimming beach.

Q’emiln Park, at 12201 W. Parkway Drive, has a playground, picnic facilities, a swimming beach and access to the Community Forest. Check current beach operations and parking charges before going. The city lists Q’emiln as a no-dogs park; Falls Park permits dogs on a leash.

Corbin Park offers disc golf, sports fields and picnic shelters along the Spokane River. The city describes the river here as swift, so choose it for the listed land activities rather than assuming every riverbank is a suitable swimming spot.
