Harriman State Park

Harriman State Park protects an 11,000-acre wildlife refuge within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and preserves the historic Railroad Ranch along the Henrys Fork. The year-round park offers extensive trails, nationally known fly-fishing, wildlife viewing, historic programs, winter recreation, and reservable lodging and group facilities.

Good to Know

Day-use areas are generally open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The motor-vehicle entrance fee is $7 per vehicle, or visitors may use an Idaho State Parks Passport or annual pass. Winter trail access costs an additional $6 per person per day; season passes are also available. Dogs are not allowed on park trails or roads. They may remain in parking lots beside vehicles only when attended and secured on a leash no longer than six feet. Seasonal trail closures protect nesting waterfowl and calving elk, so follow posted signs. Carry bear spray and use bear-aware practices. Call 208-558-7368 for current conditions and reservations.
