- The Forest Service lists a weather-dependent May–October season. The refuge says its headquarters restrooms remain open during roadwork.
- Riverside Road work is scheduled through October 30 and closes the usual Myrtle Falls parking lot and headquarters entrance. Myrtle Falls Trail remains open via the refuge picnic-area parking lot. Follow current detour signs; the saved map pin still needs correction.
