The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic fills Ann Morrison Park with colorful hot air balloons during five mornings of family-friendly activities, launches, and special events. The 2026 celebration marks the event’s 35th anniversary.
🎈 Event Schedule
- Wednesday, September 2, Kid’s Day: Balloons are on the launch field at 7:00 AM. Kid’s Day activities begin at 7:40 AM, including free tethered rides for children on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Thursday, September 3, First Launch: Balloons arrive at 6:45 AM. The first launch is scheduled for 7:20 AM.
- Friday, September 4, Sponsor Day and Nite Glow: Pilots arrive at 6:45 AM, and the morning flight is scheduled for 7:20 AM. The Inflatable Fun Zone opens at 4:00 PM. Nite Glow activities, food, vendors, and live music begin at 5:00 PM.
- Saturday, September 5, Family Morning Launch: Balloons arrive at 6:45 AM, and the morning flight is scheduled for 7:20 AM.
- Sunday, September 6, Great Launch: The final day begins at 5:15 AM, Dawn Patrol and inflation begin at 6:00 AM, and the morning flight is scheduled for 7:20 AM.
💡 Good to Know
- Every balloon flight and tethered ride is weather-dependent.
- Public balloon rides are not available.
- Kid’s Day tethered rides are free and first come, first served.
- Dress in layers and consider waterproof shoes because the grass may be wet.
- Leave dogs at home. Drones are not permitted.
- Parking inside Ann Morrison Park is limited. There is no general parking inside the park on Friday during Nite Glow.
- Check the official website before leaving home for weather or schedule updates.
