Magic Valley weekend roundup: costumed family StoryWalk, live magic and a library movie.

This Magic Valley weekend roundup for October 23–25, 2026 highlights a Friday magic show, a Saturday StoryWalk and a free library movie in Twin Falls, plus a free Día de los Muertos celebration in Bellevue. All times are Mountain Time.

Friday evening: Magic Across America

October 23, 7–8 p.m.; general-admission doors open at 6:30 p.m. | Orpheum Theatre, 146 Main Avenue N, Twin Falls. Illusionist Josh Farley brings a live stage show to downtown Twin Falls. Tickets are advertised from $18.91; check the booking page for current availability and the final price.

The organizer welcomes all ages but describes the clean show as tailored to adults and notes that children 8 and younger may become restless. It may be a better fit for families with older children.

Saturday morning: Read & Treat at City Park

October 24, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. | City Park, 400 Shoshone Street East, beside Twin Falls Public Library. Wear a costume and follow a not-so-spooky StoryWalk. Community groups will share treats along the route, and the library plans a photo station at its original entrance.

This is a free community event for all ages. Drop in during the event window, with comfortable shoes and layers for the outdoor walk.

Saturday afternoon: A free library movie

October 24, starting at 3 p.m. | Twin Falls Public Library, 201 Fourth Avenue East. The Saturday matinee is Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, rated PG. Admission is free. The calendar reserves 3–5:30 p.m.; the actual finish depends on the film’s running time.

Use the rating and your children’s comfort with spooky stories to decide whether this is a good fit. Check the library calendar for any lineup changes.

Saturday late afternoon: Día de los Muertos in Bellevue

October 24, 4–7 p.m. Mountain Time | The Hunger Coalition, 110 Honeysuckle Street, Bellevue. Join Sun Valley Museum of Art and The Hunger Coalition for a community celebration of Día de los Muertos and Día de los Difuntos. Families can enjoy art activities, face painting, food, traditional music by Son de Valle, folkloric dance performances and community ofrendas in the greenhouses.

Admission is free, everyone is welcome, and no registration is needed. Drop in anytime during the event. Families are invited to contribute offerings to a garden of remembrance. Bellevue is in the Wood River Valley, so allow for the drive if you are coming from Twin Falls.
