Sportsman's Park near Aberdeen combines reservoir access with camping, playgrounds and picnic shelters. A paved rim trail provides opportunities for walking, biking and waterfowl observation.

Chemeketan Campground near Galena Summit is a secluded group camping area in lodgepole pine near the Salmon River headwaters. The Forest Service lists September 21 as its seasonal closing date.
