Mineral Ridge Scenic Area east of Coeur d’Alene combines a 3.3-mile National Recreation Trail with sweeping views of Lake Coeur d’Alene, forest scenery, wildlife viewing, and interpretive stops. The trail was Idaho’s first developed BLM recreation site and remains a strong family nature and scenic-view destination.

Good to Know
The site is open year-round and there is no use fee. Most trailhead facilities are accessible, although the hiking trail itself includes elevation gain and natural terrain. Winter eagle viewing is especially popular from November through February.
