Greenleaf Friends Academy Recreation Fields are part of a working school campus at 20565 Academy Road. Families considering a walk, informal game, or sports visit should arrange access around school use.
Community recreation and school use
Greenleaf’s 2021 comprehensive plan describes shared church and academy recreation space, including open areas, a softball field, playground, and quarter-mile track. It identifies community use during daylight when school is not in session. This older city description is useful background, but it is not a current reservation or guarantee that a particular area will be available.
Confirm before visiting
Call the academy office at 208-459-6346 to ask which facilities visitors may use, where to park, and whether a practice, school activity, or event affects your proposed time. Ask about restroom access separately; an outdoor field being available does not mean school buildings are open.
If track use is permitted, its quarter-mile layout gives families a straightforward way to plan a short walk: choose a lap goal that works for the youngest walker. For a scheduled match, follow the team’s field and spectator directions and keep recreational play away from organized activities.
