Bald Mountain Campground is a small, secluded four-site Forest Service campground in a forested area near Idaho City. It provides direct access to trails leading toward the Middle Fork Boise River and the Thorn Creek Butte/Cottonwood Creek area.

Good to Know
The campground is generally accessible July through September and there is no camping fee. Potable water is not available, so visitors must bring their own. From Idaho City, travel about one mile north on Highway 21, take Forest Service Road 304 for approximately 13 miles, then follow Forest Service Road 203 south for about one-third mile. The forest-road approach includes several junctions.
