Children's Museum of Idaho

Children’s Museum of Idaho in Meridian is an indoor destination for hands-on discovery and imaginative play. Families can move between child-sized exhibits, building activities, and the planetarium, choosing activities around children’s interests and attention spans.

Hours and admission

Checked September 8, 2026: regular public hours are Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday, 1–5 p.m. The earlier morning hour Monday–Saturday is for members. The museum is at 790 S. Progress Avenue.

Published admission is $13 for ages 2–64, $5 for ages 12–23 months, and $11 for seniors 65+ and active military with ID. Planetarium shows have a $2 add-on. Check the current admission page when budgeting for your group.

Ways to plan ahead

The museum lists a $5 Community Appreciation Day on the second Thursday of each month, with extended hours until 7 p.m.; confirm the date before relying on that offer. Scholarship and foster-family memberships are available by inquiry. The former Museums for All EBT admission discount has ended, so ask staff about the current membership assistance instead.
