Roosevelt West Park, called West Roosevelt Park on the city’s website, is at 1915 West Roosevelt Avenue in Nampa. Its main draw is the combination of a playground and a concrete-bowl skate park, giving families with children and teens more than one activity to choose from.
What the park offers
The city lists a playground, open grassy area, drinking fountain, and skate park. The play structure was developed in 2004 through a community partnership, and local organizations helped fund the skating facilities.
Planning a play stop
Bring helmets and appropriate protective gear for skating, and help younger children stay clear of the active riding area. The grass and playground provide an alternative for children who are not using the ramps.
The city lists sunrise-to-sunset park hours. A restroom is not identified in the official amenities list, so arrange bathroom stops separately. Bring water as well, especially outside the season when drinking fountains are normally used.
