McCroskey State Park Trail System

McCroskey State Park’s remote trail system crosses forested slopes and open ridges throughout the 5,300-acre park. Trails accommodate hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, motorcycles, and—with route restrictions—ATVs and UTVs. Families can choose from shorter outings or longer backcountry routes accessed from Skyline Drive.

The official map includes routes such as the 0.6-mile Redtail Trail, 1.3-mile Iron Mountain Trail, 1.5-mile James E. Dewey Trail, 1.6-mile Point Sublime Trail, 2.7-mile Lazy T Trail, and 7.7-mile Korth Trail.

Good to Know

These are shared-use trails, so stay alert and follow posted trail rules and trail etiquette. Skyline Drive is not plowed, and snow can prevent access during winter. Potable water is available only seasonally, and there is no garbage service—bring sufficient water and pack out everything you bring. Pets must remain on a leash no longer than six feet.
