Diamondfield Jack Campground

Diamondfield Jack Campground and Picnic Area is a small, developed recreation site at the end of paved Rock Creek Road in Sawtooth National Forest. It accommodates tents, trailers, and motor homes and provides a convenient base for hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, picnicking, and exploring Idaho’s South Hills. During winter, the area becomes a popular snow-play destination.

Good to Know

Campsites are available only on a first-come, first-served basis and must be claimed in person. This is a fee campground; check the posted fee when you arrive. Scan-and-Pay may be available through the Recreation.gov app, so download the app before leaving home because cellular service can be limited in remote areas. Although the recreation area is accessible year-round, snow and road conditions can affect travel. Bring food and other needed supplies, and confirm seasonal drinking-water availability and current fire restrictions before visiting.
