Pulaski Tunnel Trail near Wallace follows part of the route used by Forest Service ranger Edward Pulaski and his firefighting crew during the Great Fire of 1910. The forested trail follows West Fork Placer Creek and ends at an overlook across from the historic Nicholson mine adit where Pulaski sheltered his crew.

Good to Know
The Forest Service recommends allowing two to four hours for the round trip. The trail is open year-round and is used for hiking and winter snowshoeing. It is foot-traffic only; horses, bicycles, and motorized vehicles are prohibited. Bring your own drinking water.
