Weiser River Trail

Weiser River Trail follows a former railroad corridor for roughly 84 miles from Weiser to Rubicon near New Meadows, passing through Midvale, Cambridge, and Council. Families can choose shorter sections for walking, bicycling, horseback riding, wildlife watching, and small-town exploration.

💡 Good to Know

• 🪨 Most of the trail has a rock, gravel, or ballast surface, and conditions vary from the lower desert sections to the forested northern end.
• 🚫 Motorized vehicles are not allowed except emergency and service vehicles.
• ⚡ Pedal-assist e-bikes are allowed with a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph; throttle use is prohibited.
• 🐕 Pets are welcome but must remain under control. Carry a leash and pack out waste.
• 💧 Carry safe drinking water. Water from the river or side creeks must be filtered.
• 🐎 Bicyclists and hikers yield to horses. Respect adjoining private property and leave gates as you find them.
