Horseshoe Park follows New Plymouth’s distinctive horseshoe-shaped streets, creating an approximately 11-acre linear green space through town. The park offers disc golf, open play space, a paved walking path, and six historical information signs.
Choose a starting point
The park extends through town rather than having a single entrance. The city lists West Boulevard as its location. Choose where to start and how far to walk before setting out, especially with younger children; you can turn a short section into a walk-and-read outing at the historical signs.
Facilities and group use
No on-site restrooms were observed. Street parking is available, and grocery and dining options can be found nearby. Plan a bathroom stop before beginning a longer walk.
The city accepts reservations for park gatherings through the clerk’s office, with a fee and availability check. Contact City Hall for the specific area and arrangements you need rather than assuming the entire linear park can be reserved.
