Lake Walcott State Park northeast of Rupert is a major family recreation destination on the Snake River, with camping, boating, fishing, swimming, trails, playgrounds, shaded picnic areas, cabins, wildlife watching, and a nationally known 21-hole disc golf course.

💡 Good to Know

• 🚤 Lake Walcott is open to watercraft from April 1 through October 31.
• 🚧 A park-wide potable-water-system upgrade is scheduled to begin in fall 2026. The campground will close and day-use pavilions will be unavailable for reservation during construction; specific closure dates are still pending.
• 🥏 The disc golf course will be closed September 3, 2026 for the Minidoka Dam Run and limited to tournament participants September 19, 2026.
• 🐕 Pets are allowed on a leash no longer than six feet.
